Our 13 year old niece, being raised by her grandmother, announced that she
is now vegan (diet not ethical stances). We would like to accomadate her as
much as possible. Our first concern is nutrition. Where can we go to get
some basic information on nutrition for vegan's?

www.drmcdougall.com is the web address of a very well known internest
and vegan advocate. See his Star McDougall section. your niece has
taken the correct step to long lasting health.

i suggest doing some homework on the psychiatry of vegetarians and would not
help on organic food--not that i am against or for any food fads. --most
however reflect deep seated psychopathology--example--watch vegans eat and
chew--very aggresive and violent--not sure about organic people is suspect
taht they would play with their food--any comments on this are appreciated

Maybe she is just smarter than you?

Or, maybe she read TColin Campbell; The China Study

which demonstrates that consuming animal protein and animal fat is the
cause of all current "degenerative diseases"?
Good for her!

The healthiest longest-lived people are fish eaters. Perhaps you've
heard of the Okinawans?

vegan bdsm I have noticed that there are vegans into bdsm, but no special forum for those people. Now there is: Everyone is welcome but meatards, phobes, spammers, children or people who act like children.
Raw Vegan Documentary I wanted to pass this along, even though this group isn't 'raw vegan' but vegan none the less. I'm not raw either, but I really can't wait to see it. : ) It's a film (documentary) on a raw vegan family. I just ordered my copy and am EXCITED to get it. I'v
phony ARA/vegan Found this post from Karen's FAS-affected other when refreshing my memory about something else. Turns out the old ARA isn't so discriminate about consuming micrograms of dead animal parts after all. We went for dinner at the restaurant Rat |
