Hello All,

I was wondering if anybody on these newsgroups has been to Cafe De
Paris (3-4 Coventry Street, London, W1D 6BL) before?. Is the door code
strict and what is it like inside?. Is it expensive and how much does
it usually cost for a pint/bottle of beer?

According to the website (http://www.cafedeparis.com/) it was opened
in 1924 so it seems like a pretty decent and respected place. Do many
celebrities frequent this venue?

According to Multimap the nearest transport is as follows:
Tube: Piccadilly Circus (0.12mi, 0.20km)
Railway: Charing Cross (0.32mi, 0.52km)
Airport: London City Airport (7.84mi, 12.62km)

What time does Piccadilly Circus Tube Station usually open in the
morning and am i correct in thinking that the buses run all night? I
was wondering what buses run to mainline stations and what numbers and
how long the journey takes. I live up North so i have not got much
idea about LDN. lol.

Thanks.

I've been.

Yes the dress code was reasonably strict.

I gather it's not so strict now.

Drinks prices are 'reasonable' if you remember you're 'up West'.

So expect to pay £4 or £5 for a beer.

I don't think they serve pints...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.

About 5.30am Mon-Sat, 7am Sundays. You can find the times of the first
(and last) Tubes at
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1129.aspx. Piccadilly Circus is on
the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines.

Many bus routes do run 24 hours a day although not every route is 24
hour. There are also night bus routes which run only at night (roughly
midnight-6am). I would suggest looking at a bus map to work out which
bus you need; these can be downloaded from http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1110.aspx

See above. There can be traffic jams in the West End even at 3am, so
it helps if you can be fluid with your timing. Reckon on about 15
minutes to somewhere like King's Cross or Euston from the Piccadilly
area _once you're on the bus_, though.
