Hi all, I got my lab results from last week back today. I asked for a
complete copy of the blood work done this time instead of just phoning
for the FBS & A1C.

FBS: 5.5 up from Aug- 5.4
A1C: 5.6 down from 5.7

LDL: 1.36 up from 1.03
HDL: 2.32 up from 2.21
Total Chol: 4.04 -don't have previous results
Triglycerides: 0.80 -don't have previous results

Overall I am pleased with the results. I am not sure I understand all
the cholesterol numbers yet and am trying to get that sorted out. I also
seem to have a very high Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) number of 319. The
given range is 20-130. I checked back and in Dec/04 it was 298 and
Aug/05 it was 374. Those are the only results I have. It seems to me I
questioned this at my doctor's once and he was not concerned. I know it
has to do with muscle damage/disease which I don't have. It also can be
from excessive exercise but again mine is moderate- walking mostly with
very little weights as I don't seem to be able to get that going.
Hopefully I just run a high number there.

On another note, I was shopping this morning and found a huge bag of
prepared lettuce marked down to $.99. Couldn't pass that one up, so I
just finished a huge salad with raw veggies added to it for lunch and we
will also be having salad with our supper tonight- perhaps all week as
it was a huge bag. I also have pasta sauce cooking on the stove- makes
12 half cup servings at 9g carbs each and I am making veg. stock with
all the trimmings.
All in all a very good day so far. Now I must get out for a good walk
with the dog.
Thanks for listening,
