Anyone have any thoughts on the 36" gas cooktops from Viking and Wolf or
other brands as the best choice for a high end cooktop? There seems to be a
lot of bad comments on the web about Viking, but the comments all seem to be
a few years old.

We've been to the showrooms for both vendors. Neither vendor says anything
bad about the other, but neither seems to be able to make any great claims
about why their product is better than the other one.

We're also looking for a 27" convection microwave, single convection oven,
and warming drawer. The size immediately puts Wolf out of the game. So we
seem to be defaulting to Viking, but again all the seemingly bad press on
the web has me concerned.

Any thoughts and comments would be much appreciated.
