Are there any of these left in the UK, I know the ones on the west end

AFAIK they're gone.
http://www.tootsiesrestaurants.co.uk/tootsies_restaurants.htm is the nearest
thing to a premium burger chain now.
Of course, what we all want is Denny's....

I have bad service at dennys , in Sacramento, the never had any
speciality beer in stock even though we stayed 9 days, apparently they
had other tours of brits who drank them dry in a couple of days and the
computerised order system never caught up. Also in another dennys we
left after an hour as the waiters had got confused and the manager had
deleted our order from the system. I had to take the rest of the tour to
a jack-in-the box opposite and educate the people I was with into
Burgers, one of whom was anti-burger, We later went to wendys because
this person , who was the driver was convinced wendys was regular
Restaurant, however we had to do a u turn ad drive for a couple of hours
to find an acceptable alternative.

Ed's Easy Diner is not too bad either. I enjoyed a cheeseburger and
fries in the King's Road branch only a few weeks ago.

Your right I was trying to remember the name of That chain, I have used
the one in old compton st, its a bit of a shock when you have spent £12
or so just sitting at a diner bar.

My God, why on earth would you want to know that? You don't have a
hankering to "eat" in one, do you?

Well, as I'm a Londoner, that's a great relief... |
